1

Arrival in Yellowknife

Upon arrival in Yellowknife, meet your driver-guide and transfer to the city centre. Begin with a guided city tour, visiting key landmarks including the NWT Legislative Assembly, Prince of Wales Museum, NWT Diamond Center, Old Town, and Pilot’s Monument overlooking the city.

In the evening, travel to Dettah, an Indigenous village on the shores of Great Slave Lake. Spend approximately four hours in a wood stove cabin viewing the Northern Lights, accompanied by local snacks and storytelling about Dene culture and history.

Yellowknife Wilderness

During the day, explore Yellowknife’s surrounding nature. A recommended experience is a guided hike to Cameron Falls, offering scenic views within the Northwest Territories’ rugged landscape.

After some rest time, the evening brings a more adventurous aurora experience. Travel by Super Jeep deep into remote wilderness areas within 100km of Yellowknife, crossing frozen lakes and forest paths to reach untouched viewing locations for the Northern Lights.
