Fly north to Cartagena, Colombia’s most famous colonial city. Protected by centuries-old walls and overlooking the Caribbean Sea, Cartagena combines colourful architecture, tropical climate, and rich history. The city was one of the most important ports in the Spanish Empire.

Spend the day exploring Cartagena’s UNESCO-listed old town. Wander through plazas, churches, and colourful streets lined with bougainvillea-covered balconies. The city offers one of the finest collections of preserved colonial architecture in the Americas.
