Travel south from Hobart to Kettering before boarding the ferry to Bruny Island, a rugged destination celebrated for its dramatic coastline and gourmet local produce. Join a wilderness cruise along towering sea cliffs in search of Australian fur seals, dolphins, seabirds and migrating whales. Later, take in sweeping views from The Neck lookout before sampling some of the island’s best-known delicacies, including freshly shucked oysters, farmhouse cheeses and cool-climate wines produced in Australia’s southernmost vineyards.

Afterwards, spend time enjoying the bay from the water — whether by sea kayak, swimming, snorkelling or simply relaxing beside the shoreline. Continue inland toward Cradle Mountain, one of Tasmania’s most celebrated wilderness regions.
