The Ultimate Luxury in Antarctica

Day

1

Arrival at Whichaway Camp

Depart Cape Town on an extraordinary flight south to Antarctica, touching down on the blue ice of Wolf’s Fang Runway. From here, continue across the frozen landscape to Whichaway Camp, your first home on the continent. Settle into your heated private pod before gathering for dinner beneath the near-endless light of the Antarctic summer—an unforgettable introduction to one of the most remote environments on Earth.

Day

2

Discovering Whichaway

Begin exploring the remarkable wilderness surrounding Whichaway, where exposed rock formations contrast dramatically with brilliant blue ice. Venture out with expert guides on a hike through the surrounding landscape, discovering sculpted ice waves and the extraordinary blue river system hidden within this polar environment. Return to camp for a relaxing evening, with the option to unwind in the sauna or enjoy dinner beside the fire while looking out across the Antarctic wilderness.

Day

3

Ice Adventures at Whichaway

Experience Antarctica from a more adventurous perspective with the opportunity to abseil down ancient walls of ice. Alternatively, embrace a slower pace with a yoga session, restorative treatment or a peaceful trek across the frozen lake surrounding Whichaway. Whichever experience you choose, the day offers ample opportunity to appreciate the extraordinary scale and silence of this isolated polar landscape.

Day

4

Expedition to the Geographic South Pole

Board a specially equipped aircraft and journey deep into Antarctica’s vast interior, flying across mountain ranges, glaciers and immense expanses of untouched ice. Pause at Dixie’s Camp on the High Polar Plateau before continuing towards the Geographic South Pole. At 90° South, stand at the southernmost point on Earth, where every direction leads north. After commemorating this remarkable achievement, return to the High Polar Plateau for an overnight stay beneath canvas at approximately 83° South.

Day

5

Journey to Echo Base

Wake amid the extraordinary stillness of Antarctica’s High Polar Plateau before beginning the flight back across the continent. Your next destination is Echo Base, where futuristic accommodation sits among pristine ice and dramatic nunatak peaks. After settling into your new surroundings, mark your South Pole achievement with an elegant three-course dinner accompanied by champagne beneath the immense Antarctic sky.

Day

6

Exploring Echo’s Polar Wilderness

Set out into the remarkable landscapes surrounding Echo, a region defined by isolated mountain peaks rising dramatically from an immense white expanse. Explore the terrain on foot, test yourself on an ice-climbing experience or trek along untouched ridgelines offering uninterrupted views across the continent. With almost no visible signs of civilisation, the scenery feels closer to another planet than anywhere else on Earth.

Day

7

High-Mountain Exploration

Embark on a more demanding expedition into the mountains with highly qualified guides. Traverse exposed ridges and explore the extraordinary rock formations that rise through the Antarctic ice sheet, gaining spectacular perspectives over the surrounding wilderness. Far removed from conventional trails or settlements, this final full day captures the expeditionary spirit of Antarctica and provides a fitting culmination to your time on the continent.

Day

8

Final Departure

Return to Wolf’s Fang Runway for your journey back to Africa. Before departure, there may be time to relax at the distinctive Ice Bar, browse the polar boutique or simply enjoy a final moment surrounded by Antarctica’s immense frozen landscape. Board your aircraft for the flight north to Cape Town, concluding a journey that has combined two contrasting Antarctic camps, remote mountain adventures and the extraordinary achievement of reaching the Geographic South Pole.
