1

Arrival & Transfer to Namibia

We arrive in Johannesburg early in the morning and catch our connecting flight to Namibia, where our explorations guide will meet us to begin our journey.

Kulala Wilderness Reserve

We will spend the first two days exploring the iconic red sand dunes of the Namib Desert, Sossusvlei and a 37,000-hectare private nature reserve from the Kulala Desert Lodge. With plenty of time to appreciate the awe-inspiring desert night skies and observe how the desert wildlife adapts to survive in one of the world’s oldest and most remote desert landscapes.

Scenic Flight to Swakopmund

On the third morning we will take a very scenic flight along the wild and barren coastline of Namibia by light aircraft, landing in the small coastal town of Swakopmund. We will base ourselves in the iconic Swakopmund Hotel and take some time to discover the town.

Atlantic Coast & Marine Experience

The following day we will explore the Atlantic coast on a boat cruise, rounded off with a private seafood lunch.

Journey to Damaraland

We continue with the next part of our journey by road, driving for approximately 5 hours along the legendary Skeleton Coast.

Damaraland & Geological Landscapes

We then drive the back roads through the Ugab riverbed, travelling north past the Brandberg Mountain into Damaraland. This all-day excursion, with lunch en route, ends with arrival at Damaraland Camp. The area boasts a varied assortment of desert-adapted wildlife and incredible geological formations.

Palmwag Concession & Rhino Conservation

Nights seven and eight will also be spent in the greater Damaraland region, in the mountainous and rocky paradise of the massive Palmwag concession, at Desert Rhino. Here we find a growing population of the rare desert-adapted black rhino, who are monitored and protected by the Save the Rhino trust.

Continued Damaraland Exploration

We continue exploring the mountainous and remote landscapes of the Palmwag concession and surrounding Damaraland region.

Transfer to Etosha National Park

We depart the Palmwag concession heading eastward on a transfer drive to Etosha National Park, where we experience the best of Namibia’s large game viewing.

Ongava Reserve Safari

We base ourselves at an exclusive bush camp situated on an extensive private reserve, Ongava, just outside Etosha National Park.

Continued Etosha Game Viewing

We continue exploring Etosha and the surrounding reserve, experiencing Namibia’s rich wildlife and landscapes.

Return & Departure

Today marks the end of our adventure in Namibia, as we make our way back to Johannesburg and take a connecting flight home, arriving home on the 13th day.
