The Okavango and Selinda, As Seen from Above

We arrive in Johannesburg, and take a connecting flight to Botswana.

The Okavango Delta floodplain is famous for its network of waterways that distribute the Okavango across a wide floodplain in northwestern Botswana.

We will spend three nights at the outstanding Duba Plains Camp, famed for offering the best all-round Okavango Delta experiences. Whilst here we will have a private game-viewing vehicle for the sole use of our group alone.

We continue exploring the Okavango Delta and its waterways, enjoying private game viewing and safari experiences.

A special part of this safari is the helicopter flight that takes us northeastward to the region of the Savute Channel to Selinda Camp. This is a unique way to view the wildlife of the area, and a privileged vantage point to take in the expansive savannahs.

The Selinda region that we move into is known for its high population of game, as well as its population of large cats, and this is the ultimate time of year to visit for game viewing – so we expect to see some big predator action whilst in this area.

We continue exploring the Selinda region and experiencing its wildlife and landscapes.

After six wonderful days in Botswana, we will make our way back to Johannesburg, winging our way home from there, and arriving home on the 8th day.
