The Finest of Makgadikgadi & The Okavango

Day one has us arriving in Johannesburg early in the morning after an overnight flight. We will then connect onward to Botswana, and the Makgadikgadi Pans.

Our first few days after arrival have us exploring the vast expanses of central Botswana and the Makgadikgadi Pan.

Our base for exploring this area is the world-famous Jack’s Camp – historic, opulent and luxurious. There are a wide range of activities in this area, including the not-to-be-missed overnight quad biking expeditions out into the pan, and some fascinating interactions with meerkats.

We continue exploring the unique landscapes and activities of the Makgadikgadi Pans.

A quick flight from here takes us up to the remote and semi-arid region of the Savute Channel.

This region is known for its high population of game, as well as its large cat predator action, and this is the ultimate time of year to visit for game viewing. We will explore the area from the luxurious comfort of Zarafa Camp, where we will stay for three nights.

We continue exploring the Selinda Game Reserve and experiencing its wildlife and landscapes.

After a short flight from the Savuti region, we make our way to the Okavango Delta.

The Okavango Delta floodplain is famous for its network of waterways that distribute the Okavango across a wide floodplain in northwestern Botswana. We will spend two nights at the outstanding Mombo Camp, famed for its amazing wildlife and gourmet food and wine.

We will start making our way back to Johannesburg on our ninth day, winging our way back home from there and arriving home on the 10th day.
