Final Departure
Day
1
We are warmly welcomed into Nairobi, where we will spend our first night getting a good night’s rest at a beautiful boutique lodge – OneFortyEight. Depending on our arrival time, we may like to visit the nearby Giraffe Centre or some of Nairobi’s vibrant art galleries.
Day
2
This morning we catch a light aircraft to the Laikipia Plateau, a private concession in one of Kenya’s quieter central safari regions.
Day
3
Our stay here is filled with adventure, and we will have the opportunity to explore the surrounding wilderness in a variety of ways. We may like to feel the adrenaline on a mountain bike, take a gentle walk, ride a camel or view the wildlife from the comfort of a game drive. At night, we will fall into our sumptuous outdoor beds and sleep soundly beneath the stars for an all-new and unique experience of Africa.
Day
4
After our morning game drive, we head to the Ma’asai Mara in search of the huge herds of the great migration.
Day
5
Each year, around 1.5 million wildebeest make their way across the plains of the savannah in search of greener grass. We will base ourselves in a modern mobile tented camp called Mara Expedition Camp, giving us an authentic but still very comfortable stay for our time in this area.
Day
6
Expect impressive wildlife scenes in season to mark a highlight of this colourful journey.
Day
7
We enjoy an early breakfast, then head southeast to the Ol Donyo private concession in the Chyulu Hills area for a quieter, more private safari.
Day
8
Our camp here is significantly more luxurious, and we will be spoiled with hot baths, refreshing dips in our plunge pool, gourmet meals and top service against the magnificent backdrop of Mt Kilimanjaro. If we are feeling bold, we may like to gallop across the plains on horseback or enjoy a scrumptious private outdoor dinner in the bush.
Day
9
With time to enjoy our final game drive, our journey continues to the spectacular islands of the Seychelles.
Day
10
Using the Four Seasons as our base, we will experience impeccable service from our luxurious private villa.
Day
11
We may like to do some windsurfing, snorkel beneath the gently lapping shores, or take a nature hike in between our gourmet meals.
Day
12
We may also simply stroll down to the beach at the foot of the bay for some true relaxation.
Day
13
Wishing we could stay a little longer, we say our goodbyes over a delicious breakfast, then make our way back to Mahe to take our international flight home.
