Safari in Tanzania and Beach retreat in Zanzibar

We will be met on arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred by road to Arusha. From here, we will board a light aircraft heading for the Serengeti.

The plains making up the Serengeti are undoubtedly one of the world’s most celebrated wilderness areas. We will spend our days exploring Tanzania’s oldest game reserve, renowned for hosting the annual Great Migration – an epic, seasonal journey which offers a superb wildlife experience and a wonderful photographic subject.

We can roam the plains on exhilarating game drives or hop into a hot air balloon for a once-in-a-lifetime wilderness adventure.

Our three nights will be spent at Sayari Camp, in the northern part of the Serengeti. From here we will be able to roam the endless plains among the teeming resident wildlife, and spend the nights enjoying the best in safari hospitality.

After an early morning game drive and an indulgent breakfast, we will head to the airstrip to catch a light aircraft to Ngorongoro.

Nearly three million years old, this ancient caldera shelters one of the most beautiful wildlife havens on earth. Endangered black rhino are protected within its rim, giant tusked elephants wander the forests, lions stalk the grasslands, and flamingos crowd the soda lakes.

Based at the Ngorongoro Crater Camp, we will have the opportunity to explore the forested rim of the crater, as well as the expansive crater floor, which holds some of the most exciting wildlife in Eastern Africa.

After enjoying our last morning in the Ngorongoro Crater, we will head to the airstrip to catch our light aircraft flight to Zanzibar. We will be met on arrival in Zanzibar and transferred to Matemwe Lodge on the north eastern side of Zanzibar.

For the next few days we will relax on the beach and explore the vibrant island, enjoying the beautiful Indian Ocean at our doorstep. Days will be spent at our own pace, either enjoying all the watersports and activities on offer, exploring the local towns and spice trails, or simply relaxing poolside at the lodge.

After enjoying our last fresh morning on the Zanzibar coast, we make our way to the airport to catch a light aircraft to Dar Es Salaam, from where we will connect with our international flight home.
