Day
1
Welcome to Cambodia and the capital of Phnom Penh. Meet your driver outside the airport and set off on a 4.5-hour transfer to Andoung Tuek. From there, board a boat for a two-hour journey along the Preak Piphot River to Chi Phat, a community-based ecotourism village in the Cardamom Mountains.
On arrival, enjoy lunch before heading on a 1.8-mile trek to Chhay Kpos Waterfall. Follow your guide through dense rainforest, keeping an eye out for wildlife such as monkeys and kingfishers. At the waterfall, you can swim in the pool or relax before returning to the village for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day
2
Begin your three-day trek through the rainforest, covering approximately 13 miles. The route takes you to O’Spott (Dragon Fish River), where rock formations line the banks and small cascades create natural pools.
Continue to a bat cave home to thousands of bats, then stop at Teuk Vet Waterfall for lunch and a swim. Later, visit an ancient jar site, where large stone jars dating back to the Iron Age are scattered across the landscape. End the day at a campsite near O’Ampov, where you’ll sleep in a hammock.
Day
3
After breakfast at the campsite, continue your 13-mile trek deeper into the rainforest. Visit another ancient jar site to observe the large stone vessels carved from solid rock and weathered over centuries.
Around midday, arrive at O’Peam Pika, a tranquil river ideal for swimming. After lunch, continue to your campsite near O’Peam Krovanh, where you can relax, swim, and enjoy dinner in the jungle.
Day
4
Continue trekking for 11 miles through the rainforest, stopping at O’Kroch (Wild Orange River) and O’Da (Flat Stone River). Along the way, enjoy opportunities to swim and rest on the riverbanks.
Arrive at your campsite along the O’Malu (Betel Leaf River) in the afternoon. Spend the rest of the day relaxing in your hammock or swimming before enjoying your final night under the stars.
Day
5
Complete the final stretch of your trek back to Chi Phat. If needed, you can opt for a motorbike taxi. Then transfer to Koh Kong and take a boat to Koh Andet, home to Canvas & Orchids Retreat.
Check into your floating tent on the Tatai River and spend the afternoon at leisure. Swim, fish, or take a sunset cruise. In the evening, you may go on a guided walk to see fireflies before enjoying dinner at the lodge.
Day
6
Take a boat cruise along the Tatai River, passing mangroves and jungle scenery. Continue into a tributary deeper in the rainforest to reach Tatai Waterfall.
Swim beneath the cascade, enjoy a picnic, and explore the area by kayak. You may also visit a traditional Cambodian farm with rice fields and fruit trees before returning to the lodge.
Day
7
Start early with a jungle hike at dawn, kayaking upstream and walking through the rainforest while observing wildlife and listening to birds and gibbons.
Return to the lodge for breakfast and spend the afternoon at leisure. You can swim, kayak, or visit a local Khmer village to learn about daily life. Enjoy your final dinner at the ecolodge.
Day
8
Enjoy your final views of the Tatai River before taking a boat back to the main road. Transfer 5–6 hours to Phnom Penh, passing rural countryside with rice fields and Khmer villages.
On arrival in the capital, head to the airport for your departure.
