Exploring the Maasai Lands of Kenya

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, we will transfer to Wilson Airport for our private flight to Chyulu Hills National Park, our first destination.

Ol Donyo lies in the foothills of the Chyulu Range, on thousands of acres of communal land owned by the Maasai. The open plains, rolling Chyulu hills and snow-capped peaks of Kilimanjaro invoke romantic images of Africa, while abundant game and Maasai herdsmen live side by side as they have done for centuries.

The panoramic views of the plains and Mount Kilimanjaro are breathtaking.

After breakfast, we transfer to the airstrip for our private charter to Segera Retreat.

Segera Retreat, on the Laikipia Plateau, brings exceptional private service in a unique oasis. We will stay in a timber and thatch villa surrounded by a profusion of botanical life in landscaped gardens and raised wooden platforms, which gaze out over the savannah with Mount Kenya as a magnificent backdrop.

In the morning, we take a light aircraft flight to the Maasai Mara, where we will enjoy a game drive on our way to our camp.

Mahali Mzuri, located in the Motorogi Conservancy just north of the Maasai Mara National Park, sits right on the path of the annual wildlife migration passing through. An abundance of resident game can be found all year round, both near the camp and in the magnificent surrounds. The large decks are perfect for spotting the game that will almost certainly wander into view.

After our last morning game drive, we head to the airstrip for our flight to Wilson Airport. On arrival at Wilson Airport, we will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to take our connecting flight home, arriving on the ninth day.
