Day
1
Day 1 has us arriving in the clean and friendly city of Kigali, where you will be met on arrival to welcome you to Rwanda.
We will spend the first night at leisure at the Kigali Marriott, where you will have the opportunity to experience some of Kigali’s local restaurants, should you choose to.
Day
2
After a touching visit to The Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre to learn about the tragic genocide that has shaped modern-day culture in Rwanda, we enjoy a scenic road transfer in a private car to the magnificent Parc de Volcans National Park, home to some of the last remaining families of mountain gorillas in the world.
Day
3
We stay in the unique, nested-style luxury eco-villas at Bisate, where you will experience the very best of Rwanda’s warm hospitality. With two full days to explore the rainforest on foot, activities here are a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
We spend the first clear day trekking with some of the top gorilla guides in the industry to track and locate the wild gorillas high in the mountains. You will have the opportunity to get close to the mountain gorillas should you encounter them on your walk, which is a truly remarkable experience limited to just a privileged few.
Day
4
Our second day is for hiking, relaxing and exploring the network of spectacular nature trails in Volcanoes National Park. You may also like to visit the grave and research centre of Dian Fossey, who was instrumental in spearheading the plight to conserve these remarkable mountain gorillas.
Day
5
We transfer by private road back to the city of Kigali, where we will catch an onward flight to the Serengeti Bushtops tented safari camp in a spectacular private concession of the Northern Serengeti.
Day
6
Serengeti Bushtops is located in a prime location for viewing the Mara River crossing. Our days here will be spent discovering the grandeur of the Serengeti on private game drives, where we will have the opportunity to see Africa’s famous Big 5 wildlife, and relaxing around the pool between decadent meals and exhilarating experiences with the wildlife.
Day
7
You may wish to explore some of the local activities offered by Serengeti Bushtops lodge during our stay here, such as taking a tour of the local village or trying your hand at archery.
Day
8
After our final brunch and game drive, we will be collected by private aircraft for a short flight to the wonderfully luxurious Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, aptly known as “the game lodge at the top of the world” because of its dramatic location perched on the crater rim.
Day
9
Our next few days will be spent in pure luxury as we continue to experience Big 5 game drives, as well as a few added luxury trimmings like private bush walks, a gourmet picnic on the crater floor, and the ability to watch the wildlife from your opulent stilted abode.
Day
10
Having enjoyed our final breakfast, we take a scenic drive to the town of Manyara for an onward flight to Kenya’s capital city, Nairobi. Here you can connect to your international flight home, or we can arrange this for you.
