1

Airport to Negombo

Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be greeted by an SLIS representative and privately transferred to Negombo (approximately 30 minutes), where you will begin your Sri Lankan journey in comfort.

After breakfast, journey to Kandy (approximately 3.5 hours), with a visit to the remarkable Dambulla Golden Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its ancient Buddhist murals and beautifully preserved cave shrines.

Continue to the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens, home to an impressive collection of tropical flora, towering palms, and exotic orchids.

After breakfast, visit the revered Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa), Sri Lanka’s most important Buddhist shrine and one of the country’s most iconic cultural landmarks.

Continue with a scenic drive to Hatton (approximately 2.5 hours), nestled in the heart of Sri Lanka’s renowned tea country. Surrounded by rolling emerald plantations and colonial-era estates, Hatton offers a refined escape into the island’s picturesque hill country.

After breakfast, journey to Yala National Park (approximately 5.5 hours), travelling from Sri Lanka’s cool hill country to its spectacular southern wilderness. Upon arrival, check in to Uga Chena Huts.

Renowned as Sri Lanka’s premier wildlife destination, Yala National Park is home to one of the world’s highest densities of leopards, alongside elephants, sloth bears, crocodiles, buffalo, and an extraordinary diversity of birdlife.

Yala Safari Experience

Rise early for a morning game drive through Yala National Park, when wildlife is at its most active. Accompanied by an expert guide, search for elusive leopards, elephants, sloth bears, crocodiles, and an abundance of native birdlife.

Return to Uga Chena Huts for a leisurely breakfast and time to relax.
