An East African Royal Tented Safari

After arriving at Kilimanjaro Airport, we will be transferred via helicopter to Legendary Lodge on the outskirts of Arusha.

After taking off on a private charter from Arusha, we are whisked away to the wild side of the Ngorongoro Crater to Entamanu Ngorongoro. Our route from the airstrip into the highlands takes us on a scenic ascent to the crater rim and through some scenic Ma’asai lands.

The camp is a relaxed and stylish alternative to the busy tourist routes at Ngorongoro and offers fantastic views from the crater rim. The camp is also the only place in the world where you can watch the sun rise over the crater and set over the Serengeti.

During our stay here, we include two descents into the crater in your own private vehicle.

After two nights at Ngorongoro, we head to the Serengeti, one of the most famous parks in the world and unquestionably one of the greatest experiences in Africa.

The Great Migration of over 1 million wildebeest can be seen in the central and western Serengeti between June and August, followed by a parade of predators including lion, hyena, cheetah and more.

After a quick flight that takes us past two small towns to clear immigration and across the border to Kenya, we land in the spectacular Maasai Mara.

Here we experience one of the most iconic wildlife destinations in Africa on daily game viewing excursions or from the comfort of a luxurious suite at Mara Plains.

Wildlife in the Mara is abundant at this time of year, with opportunities to witness the Great Migration, as well as see the Big 5 – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo.

Keeping to our theme of being fully immersed in nature in tented camps, we stay for three nights at Mara Plains. From this exceptional camp, we can explore both the national reserve and the private Olare Motorogi Conservancy. Your privacy is assured on game drives using your own private vehicle.
