Day
1
Arrive in Nuuk, where your host welcomes you at the airport and assists with your onward journey into the wilderness. Board a covered, heated boat and travel deep into the vast Nuuk Fjord system, cruising for around 100 kilometres through ancient mountain scenery to secluded Camp Kiattua. Accessible only by boat or helicopter, this intimate tented retreat offers remarkable isolation in the Greenlandic wilderness. Settle into your private tent before enjoying your first dinner at camp, prepared with fresh local ingredients.
Day
2
Choose two guided activities tailored to your interests and fitness level, with possibilities including hiking, kayaking, fishing, paddleboarding, spearfishing and Arctic swimming. A typical day might begin with a hike across Kiattua’s rugged terrain, keeping watch for reindeer roaming the open landscape. Pause for a tapas-style lunch overlooking the fjord before exchanging the trail for a kayak and gliding quietly through ice-strewn waters. Back at camp, unwind in the outdoor hot tub or sauna while surrounded by the silence of the Arctic wilderness.
Day
3
Embrace another day of personalised adventure, perhaps beginning with an Arctic plunge while protected by a drysuit, surrounded by the icy waters and drifting ice of Kiattua. Those preferring something gentler can remain along the secluded shoreline before returning to camp for lunch. Later, visit Kapisillit, a tiny settlement of around 35 residents and the only permanent community within the Nuuk Fjord system. Discover how contemporary village life continues alongside deep-rooted Inuit traditions and generations of Arctic resourcefulness before returning to the solitude of Camp Kiattua.
Day
4
After breakfast, leave Camp Kiattua at around 10:00 and begin the boat journey back through the spectacular Nuuk Fjord. Keep watch across the surrounding waters for whales as mountains, islands and remote Arctic landscapes pass by on the return to Greenland’s capital. On arrival in Nuuk, continue to the airport for your onward journey, concluding four days of private glamping, outdoor adventure and immersion in one of Greenland’s most secluded fjord environments.
